Cheryl

Cheryl Roby Is a Certified Kripalu YogaDance®(formerly Kripalu DansKinetics) instructor, Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Spiritual Healer. She is a graduate of the three year program at the Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences in Bloomfield, CT and she has completed advanced Kripalu YogaDance training. Cheryl has also trained with and assisted Kripalu's Ken Nelson in Thai Yoga Massage and attended workshops with Anodea Judith, John Perkins, Yolanda Vansant, Brian Weiss and Gessner Gayer among others.

She also holds a BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut and has achieved the designation Competent Toastmaster from Toastmaster’s International.

For many years Cheryl had a successful career leading multimillion-dollar technology projects for a major financial services company. During that time she had many opportunities to study (both formally and informally) human nature and the nature of leadership. In addition to her official responsibilities, she trained inner city youth in the basics of public speaking as a way of giving back to the community where she worked.

DancerIn 2002 Cheryl retired from her corporate career to pursue her interest in personal transformation and energy healing. In addition to her training in energy medicine, she has hundreds of hours of "real life" experience practicing Reiki and energy balancing in large city hospitals and for private clients. Her concrete thinking in a decidedly flexible field led to her participation as a researcher on a project to measure the affect of Reiki on the blood pressure levels of dialysis patients.

Currently she offers individual energy healing sessions, teaches Kripalu YogaDance, leads workshops and speaks on human energy, abundance, the mind/body connection and the chakras; and is the author of the Roby Chart of human energy and related beliefs. Her workshops and Rock Your Chakras Kripalu YogaDance®classes have been well received in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida and Illinois. She works with both private organizations and town recreation departments.
